GIS: A Powerful Geographic System
A web-based GIS and companion mobile app to track resources across projects in real time, manage plant and worker data, visualize geologic information on maps, and handle complex CAD-to-GIS conversions for a large-scale geographic information system.
A web-based GIS and companion mobile app to track resources across projects in real time, manage plant and worker data, visualize geologic information on maps, and handle complex CAD-to-GIS conversions for a large-scale geographic information system.
The Challenge
Manage, analyze, and visualize complex geologic and resource data for plants, workers, and other assets while handling a huge amount of real-time location data and converting CAD layers into GIS maps.
The Solution
A web-based GIS platform and mobile app that track resources in real time, play back location history, define and monitor areas for events, manage plant and resource data centrally, visualize data on maps, and enable mobile-based location tracking.
Results
- Zero-bug delivery: A large, complex GIS system shipped with zero defects at delivery.
- Built in 4 months: The full web and mobile GIS platform was delivered in just four months.
Technologies: GIS, Web-based System, Real-time Tracking, Mapping, Geolocation
