AI / Machine Learning Engineer - Middle

Job duties and responsibilities 

AI Solution Design & Development 

• Implement and optimize deep learning models across domains such as NLP, Computer Vision, and Generative AI (LLMs, diffusion models, etc.). 

• Translate high-level concepts and research outcomes into scalable, production-ready systems. 

• Develop reusable modules, pipelines, and components following engineering best practices. 

• Collaborate with AI Researchers, AI Engineers, and product teams to to bring innovative ideas to life 

Data Engineering & Modeling 

• Handle structured and unstructured data from images, videos, and text. 

• Conduct data cleaning, feature engineering, and augmentation to prepare datasets for model training. 

• Apply and fine-tune deep learning architectures (e.g., CNNs, Transformers, GANs) for targeted use cases. 

• Implement SOTA techniques from research papers to improve model performance. 

System Integration, MLOps & Deployment 

• Build end-to-end ML pipelines for training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring. 

• Use MLOps tools (MLflow, Apache Airflow, DVC, Airflow) for tracking and reproducibility. 

• Containerize ML applications with Docker and deploy using CI/CD pipelines. 

• Utilize cloud platforms (AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI, Azure ML) for scalable deployment. 

• Monitor production model performance and implement retraining/update mechanisms. 

Computer Vision & Image Processing 

• Develop classical computer vision algorithms for geometry-based tasks (corner detection, line fitting, and contour analysis). 

• Implement post-processing pipelines (mask refinement, polygon extraction, bounding box localization) 

• Create visualization tools for model predictions and debugging 

• Handle edge cases and improve robustness of detection/segmentation algorithms 

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, product, business) to align AI solutions with user and business needs. 

• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in AI, deep learning, and generative models. 

•  Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and technical documentation. Participate in code reviews, propose technical improvements, and mentor junior engineers in AI best practices. 

Job requirements and qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field 

• Practical experience in mentoring and leading medium-size team (3–5 members) 

• Practical working experience with Python and all Computer Vision-related technologies and image processing tools (OpenCV, Pytorch, UNet, Deeplab, PaddleOCR, ...) 

• Led development of complex multi-model CV systems 

• Proven track record of model optimization for production 

• Mentored junior engineers in ML/CV tasks

• Clear communication in English and Vietnamese for technical and non-technical audiences

Nice to have: 

• Experience with geological, medical, or industrial defect inspection domains 

• Experience with NLP/LLM technologies is a plus 

• Knowledge of classical CV algorithms (SIFT, SURF, template matching) 

• Familiarity with other DL frameworks: TensorFlow, JAX 

• Experience with cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, Azure) 

• Knowledge of Docker and containerization 

• Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Weights & Biases, DVC)
